July was an incredibly busy month for RTC Safety Surfaces as we saw a 20% increase in the amount of surfacing installed compared to July 2015. Our specialist wet pour installers were once again working across the UK, from Perth in Scotland, right down to Truro in Cornwall.
Our rubber mulch surfacing proved to be a popular safety surface as we installed three times more than last July.
One of the bonded mulch projects we worked on, was at a play area near to Cardiff. These photos go to show that our rubber mulch surfacing can allow year-round play as it doesn’t hold water and won’t create mud.
What Else?
Local councils have been at the top of our priorities this month as they’ve been busy preparing their parks and playgrounds for the summer holidays. We’ve been to many parks and recreational grounds requiring our wet pour repairs service. Although wet pour is hard-wearing, it is unfortunate that lots of play and vandalism can contribute to damaged surfacing. As a cost-effective solution, we can repair wet pour which has proven popular with many local authorities!
With the summer holidays in full swing, our attention will turn towards schools and nurseries throughout August. We feel it’s important we ensure pupils return to the new school year with outdoor safety surfacing so that they can continue to learn and be active outdoors.
August is our busiest time of year and it’s looking to being our best month on record!
