DRUSILLAS ZOO PARK, EAST SUSSEX

THE REQUIREMENTS

Drusillas Zoo Park is located on the south coast and is known as the best small zoo in the country.  Founded in 1922, the family run business has built its reputation as one of the “top tourist attractions in East Sussex”.

In replacement of their ‘Monkey Kingdom’ attraction, £300,000 was invested to create their ‘Get Wet!’ – The ultimate splash pad experience.

WHAT WE DID

On behalf of Ustigate, water feature specialists, we installed 179m² of blue and green wet pour surfacing to go under their water display.

Our wet pour surfacing has been used as the surface for many splash pads in recent years.  Its porous property allows water to drain back into the system, whilst the rubber is soft on bare feet.

THE OUTCOME

Get Wet! is the first splashpad attraction at Drusillas Park. The colourful installation features a blue band surrounding a green centre with circular blue areas surrounds twirling streams and spiralling sprays.
