Project Description
Mill Meadows Adventure Playground
Working in conjunction with Kompan UK, one of our 12 installation teams headed down to Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire to install new wet pour safety surfacing at the Mill Meadows Adventure Playground.
Over 700m² of wet pour safety surfacing was installed on top of the existing surface. Our team installed the new wet pour safety surfacing at multiple depths to ensure the safety of children on the play equipment which had critical fall heights of up to 2.2 metres – in line with both British and European safety standards.
Whereas the existing surfacing had a plainer appearance, the new surfacing was destined to be a whole lot brighter to capture children’s imaginations. The design of the wet pour safety surfacing was influenced by the sites close proximity to the river Thames, with our team drawing on their years of experience and skills learnt through in-house training to create images such as river boats, ducks and even the Greek god Poseidon!

We install playground surfaces all over the UK and beyond (you can see our global projects here) so travelling to the site was no issue, and our team made sure to finish on time and within budget.
As you can see from the before and after images, our team was able to create complex graphics which resulted in a fun and eye-catching playground that was thoroughly enjoyed by children and parents alike at the open day.
