Project Description

TOWER GARDENS, SKEGNESS

Originally opened in 1978, Tower Gardens is situated in Skegness, Lincolnshire and hosts a variety of family events by the sea.

At the beginning of 2016, Proludic began the project, alongside East Lindsey District Council, to revamp the children’s play area into a pirate-themed adventure park that required our installation skills for their detailed safer surfacing design.

Part of this £100,000 project included 431m² of wet pour surfacing to not only compliment the play equipment but to provide safe surfacing for the critical fall heights in order to meet British safety standards.

Recognised globally for our ability to install wet pour in the most detailed designs, we were handed the design that featured a lurking Kraken within a deep blue sea that was beside a palm tree beach and a large scale compass to point prospective pirates to the treasure.

The design was hand-drawn onto the ground to match Proludic’s design and each block of colour was systematically hand-laid in order to complete our part of the project on time and on budget.
