Quarterly Round Up: December 2018

It’s that time of year when everybody starts to reflect, before getting ready to see in Christmas & the New Year. Here at RTC, we too have been reflecting on the last few months. And boy have they been busy!

Along with our new Sales Director, we’re celebrating a record year, before we welcome a well-earned break over Christmas.

Recent Projects

One of the most exciting projects we worked on this quarter was a Marvel themed playground at Westfield shopping centre.

Working on behalf of Kompan, we installed over 180m² of wet pour with our team creating bespoke graphics of the famous Marvel characters.

As you can see from the photos, our team’s hard work paid off resulting in a great new play area!

Closer to home we installed wet pour safety surfacing for the new McDonalds in Burnley. As we’ve installed surfacing at a number of McDonald’s restaurants throughout the UK, it was great to continue the trend in our hometown!

We also completed another wet pour project in the nearby town of Brierfield. We installed wet pour surfacing for a climbing wall inside the historic Brierfield Mill as part of a local rejuvenation project.

Another local project we worked on was Baxenden Recreation Ground. We installed nearly 300m² of wet pour safety surfacing and 150m² of Enviro-Pave. Our Enviro-Pave can be a great surface for areas that require a harder wearing surface as not only is it non-slip it also meets all of the SUDS requirements.

We also installed Enviro-Pave for Horticon, in Salford. The project involved 5,000m² of surfacing to create new pathways for pedestrians and cyclists.

Further afield we spent fourteen days working with Kompan in Chelmsford, installing over 900m² of wet pour. The design included trains, tracks, plants and animals all hand drawn and cut by our install team. It’s been great to see the local community enjoying their new playground!

One of our teams has also been working in Holyhead, Wales. Working on behalf of Proludic we had a roaring good time creating a Welsh dragon and aeroplane themed playground at RAF Holyhead.

Over in Cornwall we installed over 700m² of wet pour. The project, included multiple colours and graphics featuring flowers and friendly animals. Whilst speaking of animals, we also carried out work at Colchester Zoo for Playdale and at a boutique dog hotel in Liverpool.
