Project Description

Wormholt Park, London

Wormholt park

We headed down to Hammersmith, London to provide our rubber mulch and wet pour surfacing for their first inclusive playground.

As well as the inclusive play equipment, the playground featured a slide with a dragon’s head designed by local school pupils and carved by a local artist. As part of the surfacing design, our earth yellow wet pour was cleverly installed to meander around the play equipment and over mounds, leading up to the dragons head to represent the body.

As part of the £1million renovation of Wormholt Park, we installed almost 1000m² of safety surfacing to help ensure the local children would be able to play on the equipment safely.

What’s really special about this playground is that local mum, Hayley, worked hard to raise money for the inclusive play equipment as she wanted her daughter Mia, who suffers from cerebral palsy, to feel part of the community.

Determined Hayley went on to raise additional funding by working with Parents Active to persuade Tesco’s Bags of Help to choose the playground as one of the beneficiaries.

We think it’s great what Hayley and her team have achieved and we hope the local children have many years of fun playing in their new playground.

If you too have a vivid design that requires experienced wet pour installers, please don’t hesitate to contact us for advice and prices.
